‏Many of you asked about women’s hijab in Iran, and some of you were surprised to see that some women are not wearing hijab.

‏According to the law, wearing hijab is mandatory in Iran, and everyone is expected to follow this rule.

However, after the protests in recent years, I have noticed that authorities are not enforcing it as strictly as before and do not give as many warnings. Because of this, some women now go outside without covering their hair.

‏Of course, this is mostly limited to things like wearing short-sleeved clothes. More revealing clothing is still not allowed.

‏In places such as banks and government offices, women are still required to follow the full hijab rules.
