In this episode we roll into northern Victoria. First stop: Greens Lake—a great little free camp right on the water with everything we needed. After three calm days the weather turned, so we pulled out before the mud set in and headed to the quiet gold-mining town of Wedderburn, staying at the low-cost Hard Hill Tourist Reserve. There’s a historic mine to explore on site and even a eucalyptus distillery nearby.
From there we continue to Wooroonook Lakes—an unexpected gem. For just $15 you get power, water, and a brand-new amenities block. We had it to ourselves—perfect for catching up on washing and exploring the local area.
