The final decision will be made on Sunday while the vote-counting process is in progress, following the intense campaign by the parties ahead of the two phases of polling in the Chhattisgarh elections and exit polls that gave the Congress party an advantage.
The BJP, which ruled Chhattisgarh for 15 years, is hoping to make a comeback by riding the "anti-incumbency" wave against the administration of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, while the Congress will want to hold onto power in the tribal state.
In the elections for the 90 seats in the Chhattisgarh assembly, 76.31 per cent of voters cast ballots.
