Tucked into the lush Skagit Valley and right along the water’s edge, this Thousand Trails campground in La Conner, Washington, offers a peaceful retreat surrounded by natural beauty. With direct water access for kayaks, paddleboards, and small boats, it’s a paddler’s paradise—and the perfect spot to unwind and soak up the Pacific Northwest charm.

We stayed here over the 4th of July weekend and enjoyed the local parade and waterfront fireworks show, which made our visit even more memorable. From towering trees to serene shorelines, this campground is both relaxing and adventure-friendly.
