Discover Wat Kanan, also known as the White Temple, a serene and lesser-known Buddhist temple in northern Phuket, Thailand. Located about 20 km from Phuket Old Town, the temple sits on water and is surrounded by lush greenery. Unlike other popular temples, Wat Kanan is off the beaten path, letting you enjoy the peaceful atmosphere without the crowds. We visited using public transport — the Blue Phothong bus from Downtown Market takes you close, followed by a relatively short walk.
✨ Travel tip: Bus fare is 50 Baht (cash only), and the orange Airport Bus can take you back to town if the Blue Phothong bus doesn’t arrive in time.
