ISIP-International Students of Islamic Psychology hosted Dr. Rudwan Abdul Al on Saturday, November 8th, 2025. He spoke on Islamic Ethics in Counseling Psychology.
Dr. Rudwan Abdul Al is a Senior Consultant Psychiatrist at Hamad Bin Khalifa University and Adjunct Lecturer in the Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology program. He was the Associate Medical Director and Director of Research and Innovation within the NHS. He has also served as Honorary Clinical Teacher at the University of Sheffield and Senior Clinical Tutor at Hull York Medical School. His research interests include cognitive styles in depression, eye movement studies, and the integration of AI and virtual reality in mental health assessment. Dr. Abdul Al is one of the authors of Qatar’s National Clinical Guidelines for Anxiety Disorders and Dementia.
