In this video, I begin preparing natural earth pigments for a new art project I called "The Glowing Hive". I have chosen an hexagonal canvas for this painting and the goal is to convert it into a glowing panel.
This video is the first step of the whole process and it focuses entirely on preparing the colours. I only paint with natural pigments, so I have selected four different samples of raw mineral pigments that I'm going to grind and sift to achieve a fine, smooth powder suitable for painting.
