British Pancakes
Ingredients
100g Plain Flour
1 Egg
1 tbsp Caster Sugar
¼ tsp Salt
200ml Milk
2 Tbsp Sunflower Oil
Lemon Juice
Golden Syrup
Chocolate Spread
Instructions
In a small mixing bowl, add 100g of Plain Flour
Add ¼ tsp of Salt
Break 1 egg into the flour mixture
Add 1 tbsp of Caster Sugar
And whisk the egg with a little of the mixture
Add 200ml of Milk and whisk the mixture
Add 2 tbsp of Sunflower oil to a small bowl
Use kitchen roll to wipe a pan at medium heat with some of the oil in the bowl
Add a ladle of the mixture to the pan
Shake the pan to unstick the pancake from the pan
Fry for around 1min 30 secs, then flip over
Again, Fry for around 1min 30 secs
Decant to a plate
Either add lemon juice and golden syrup as a topping for the pancake or some chocolate spread
Then fold the pancake in half and half again
Repeat another 2 times
