Bihar: Intermediate students hold protest in Patna over admissions in Colleges

Описание: Intermediate students took to the streets to protest against the ruling dispensation in Bihar. Students protested outside the BJP office in Patna on March 21. Meanwhile, a large number of students gathered outside JD(U) office. They are protesting over state government's decision to discontinue 10+2 classes held in colleges from April 01. Women police officials arrived at the spot to maintain the law and order. Speaking to ANI, one of the students Sonam addressed her grievances and said, "We have been told to continue our Intermediate education in schools and not University. We are facing a lot of problems. Our one academic year would go to waste. They should implement the new rule for those students who want to avail it now after taking their Class 10th exams. Why should it apply to us when we have already taken admission?” Students say that the college administration is not allowing them to enroll in 12th standard. Citing the rules, the college authorities have restricted the students from going to the college. The students have been protesting for the last three days but the officials have not heard the demands.
