When I first heard this song, it painted a vivid image in my mind of the journey of a seed to a giant sequoia tree and how God is faithful through it all. Winter comes and goes, and the waiting season seems to take forever, but we can trust that God is with us through it all, working in us, renewing us and keeping us safe, even through hardships. We have this hope above all else that we can cling to, that the seed does become a giant tree, and even in the waiting, we can enjoy the journey and the seasons.
