But on joining Mickey Most's Rak label in 1973 and being teamed up with the Nicky Chinn and Mike Chapman songwriting duo, the hits began to come - fourteen UK Top 20 hits, including three #1s. Here's the first of those three #1 hits, which Mickey Most endorsed entirely on the basis of the title. It nudged The New Seekers off the top spot on 26 January 1974 and hung on there for four weeks until Suzie Quatro replaced them with "Devilgate Drive" (another Chinn Chapman composition!)
