Описание: Greetings! It's Mike Avila, the 'Behind the Panel' guy. I wish my first new comics video in a while was being published under happier circumstances. The great Gerry Conway has passed away, at the age of 73. Gerry was a true comics legend, and I had the pleasure of talking with him several times. One of the last times gave him the chance to talk up his friend and Amazing Spider-Man creative partner, Ross Andru. Gerry considered Andru a true master — one who is long overdue to get his flowers. During our interview, Conway reflects on Andru's obsessive dedication to New York City authenticity, their collaboration on the legendary Superman vs. Amazing Spider-Man crossover - and Neal Adams' redrawing some of Andru's work. Gerry took time out of his schedule not to burnish his own credentials, but to stand up for and applaud a Bronze Age master storyteller that hasn't gotten the recognition he deserved.
