Surprisingly, there are instructions to do this in the Vitamix recipe instruction books, though not all books will have this. The procedures are simple and you only do this every 6 months or so on the motor base.
I'd lube the container every 60 days or after every day if submerged under water, especially soapy water as it will wash away the critical oil for the bearing.
