In PARADOX for the very first time I was able to incorporate the Cristal Baschet into an original electronic work. It became the main melody line in the first climax and accompanied the synth organ sounds later on.
I guess I even invented a new playing technique for this instrument. By wiggling the metal rods you can get a very nice and strange sounding vibrato effect.
I was dreaming of being able to work with this instrument for many years, ever since I heard Thomas Bloch playing it when I was a teenager. I am grateful for the dedication of craftsmen like Bergtagna Instruments for building such a beautiful Cristal.
