Here is the history of these three iconic Gujarat temples:
Sarangpur (Shree Kashtabhanjan Dev Hanumanji)
Lord Hanuman is the primary deity here. The temple was established in 1848 by Sadguru Gopalanand Swami, a prominent saint of the Swaminarayan Sampraday. Legend says that when the idol was installed, it shook to manifest its divine power to drive away evil spirits and sorrows. It is one of the most powerful centers for removing "Kashta" (sufferings).
Somnath Temple
Known as the First Jyotirlinga of Lord Shiva, its history spans millennia.
Ancient Origins: Tradition says the Moon God (Soma) built it in gold, Ravana in silver, and Krishna in sandalwood.
Resilience: The temple was destroyed and rebuilt at least seven times following invasions by Mahmud Ghazni, Alauddin Khalji, and Aurangzeb.
Modern Era: The current structure was envisioned by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and completed in 1951 in the Chalukya architectural style.
Dwarkadhish Temple (Jagat Mandir)
Located in Dwarka, this temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna, the "King of Dwarka."
Vajranabh: It is believed Krishna's great-grandson, Vajranabh, built the original temple over the Lord's residential palace (Hari-griha).
Architecture: The current five-storied limestone structure dates back roughly 2,000 to 2,500 years, featuring the famous 72-pillar sanctum.
Significance: It is one of the four major Char Dham pilgrimage sites in India.
