Social media literally seethed with indignation:"Even the most ambitious stars don't act like that!"They both desperately crave recognition and attention and are willing to do anything to get it!This"stunt" was compared to the behavior of Meghan's father, who went with reporters to try on a new suit the day before the wedding and then failed to show up for the ceremony.Charles walked the bride down the aisle.Her grandfather's"pill"proved the most painful—depriving him of the opportunity to deal with military affairs.Meghan complained that her husband was taking this blow extremely hard.She was indignant:why deprive him of this?How unfair.And is it fair that she,wittingly or unwittingly,is exacerbating his distress?During the transition period,the prince demonstrated an inability or unwillingness to control his wife.One of the rules he promised to abide by was abstention from politics.But Meghan campaigned constantly during the US presidential election,even voting,becoming the first member of the royal family in the history of the British monarchy to participate in an election.There is no law prohibiting members of the royal family from voting,but there is tradition.And it is strictly observed.Meghan once again forced her husband to struggle between his family obligations and his devotion to his wife.After all,this is a wonderful opportunity to attract attention to her beloved. Harry,on the other hand,hasn't had to lift a finger to gain attention since infancy and on a global scale at that.And no matter how difficult this burden was at times,it helped him do good deeds and work for the good of the kingdom.When they planned their "exodus,"they hoped to be able to combine a private life unencumbered by routine duties with working for the monarchy—as and when it suited them.Alas,they miscalculated.Harry underestimated his grandmother and overestimated his own abilities:exchanging the sense of duty to the Crown and the role of a member of the royal family, ingrained in his flesh and blood,for the role of an usual citizen turned out to be much more difficult than he expected.Whether they will succeed in achieving what they wanted remains to be seen. Harry"became practically unrecognizable,"made a mistake"by sending himself into exile and the manner in which he left the royal family was "unacceptable."Now he is forced to associate with "useful"acquaintances from Hollywood and show business and with rare exceptions,he cannot stand them—that was until recently.They have once again demonstrated their naivety in believing that they would be paid huge sums without attempting to "squeeze a pint of royal blood."And to drag the British crown through the mud so that they won't even notice.They are moving further and further away from the motto proclaimed by Elizabeth upon ascending the throne:"Service means fulfilling one's duty to the Crown and those under its protection.”This is precisely what Harry was taught from childhood.But now,the more scandals that arise around the royal family,the better for his family's"new"life and business,but not for Harry.No matter how much he has changed,the Windsor blood and the history of the monarchy are not water.No longer the"golden couple,"they look like selfish individuals who abandoned their family to pursue their own goals.Meghan hopes to convince the public how committed she is to doing good.Harry can still be"one of the guys"and participate in charity events,distributing food to the homeless.During these meetings with the Prince of the Blood,everyone will still see the kind Harry,not the arrogant aristocrat.But that won't change much. Meghan made a big mistake by orchestrating Megxit.I don't think she was eager to become part of the royal family and their way of life;she wanted to impose her own rules.As a member of the royal family,she could have fought for equality,including in matters of skin color and origin.This would have been far more useful and meaningful than returning to show business.But instead of pursuing such opportunities,she returned to US and struck a deal with Netflix.Perhaps all these events have made Harry's future not as bright as he himself would have liked.
