Beverly Blvd starts in Beverly Hills by splitting off Santa Monica Blvd, and ends just shy of downtown Los Angeles, where it becomes 1st Street.
Original Tommy's World Famous Hamburgers is a Los Angeles staple renowned for its chili topped hamburgers and hot dogs. Tom Koulax opened the original location on May 15, 1946, and that location is still in operation on the northeast corner of Beverly and Rampart Blvds.
There are currently 32 official Original Tommy's locations, however the restaurant's success has attracted various imitators.
A 2019 study by The Los Angeles Times identified 67 copycat restaurants. Each clone restaurant used some form of the name "Thomas" in the name, along with similar signage, design and menu.
The Koulax family has decided not to pursue legal action against the impersonators.
