Ralph has always been a hero to me—different from all the others.
Not the typical perfect, invincible, untouchable superhero.
In him, I saw human imperfection: the ability to make mistakes, to fall, to recognize one's limits and rise again anyway.
Maybe that’s exactly what made him my childhood hero.
Who hasn’t dreamed of soaring through the sky like their favorite superheroes?
Mine, since I was a kid, was Ralph from The Greatest American Hero.
This story is my tribute to him. In my imagination, it’s a kind of ideal continuation of the original series.
In my dream remake of The Greatest American Hero, the story picks up with Michael Hinkley, Ralph’s grandson and son of Kevin Hinkley (who appeared in the early episodes of the original series).
Mike has chosen to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps by becoming a teacher.
He works as a physical education assistant and assistant coach for the Montebello High School basketball team.
He’s assigned mixed groups of students, often troubled kids or those with behavioral challenges.
Mike deeply believes in the power of sports as an educational tool—a way to teach discipline, respect, teamwork, and self-confidence.
To him, sports aren’t just physical activity, but a path of personal growth, a universal language that can reach even those who feel left out.
Alongside Mike is Dr. Emma Chase, the school’s assistant psychologist: a sensitive, attentive, and deeply empathetic woman.
A natural connection forms between them, reminiscent of the bond between the original Ralph and Pam, and it may evolve as their adventures unfold.

Synopsis
---------------
An event destined to change two lives.
Mike Hinkley, a young assistant coach with a family history shrouded in mystery, and Mark Wheeler, a rigid, methodical, hyper-rational NSA agent, are suddenly abducted by an alien spacecraft.
Inside the ship’s holographic chamber, they relive traumatic memories and fragments of their lives, while an unknown technology scans their minds as if evaluating them.
When they’re returned to the desert, they discover that not even a second has passed.
On the hood of their SUV lies an alien briefcase containing an ultra-advanced suit and a cryptic tablet.
The aliens have chosen Mike as the bearer of the suit, but the tablet reveals that only Mark—thanks to his analytical skills and NSA training—can access the instructions.
A deliberate choice to force them to work together.
Both receive mysterious glowing bracelets etched into their wrists, a sign that alien technology has marked them as “chosen.”
Their first attempts to use the suit’s powers end in comic disaster:
Mike flies clumsily and crashes into the SUV’s windshield, then tries invisibility and accidentally sets Mark’s car on fire.
Mark explodes in a hysterical fit, shouting that he’s still paying off the loan.
Exhausted, confused, and scared, they decide to postpone any further experiments until the next day.
At four in the morning, they part ways: Mark returns to his boat, while Mike heads home, drained.
He sets the briefcase on the table, collapses onto the couch, and trembling, picks up the phone.
After three rings, a familiar voice answers.
Mike whispers: “Grandpa… I need to talk to you. The little green men are back.”
There’s a moment of silence.
Then the reply comes, tense and immediate:
“Mike… I’m on my way.”
