Researchers in the University of Minnesota College of Science and Engineering, with the help of industry collaborators, have developed a way to tap into a person's brain signals through a neural chip implanted in the arm, effectively reading the patient’s mind. The technology allows amputees to move prosthetic arms using only their thoughts and opens the door for new treatments for neurological diseases and less invasive alternatives to brain surgeries.
