ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
In this packed 45 minute Tay Special, we return to the River Tay near Dunkeld for the second in our Tay series.
We visit the stunning Newtyle beat in Perthshire, where we meet up with friends for a cast, talk tactics and take an in-depth look at this popular middle river beat, where we will try and catch that elusive spring salmon. We have co-presenter - Andy Toft sharing some words of wisdom, where he demonstrates exactly why he is the World Champion at Spey Casting. Also, with the beat having recently been acquired by new owners, we meet up to discuss their exciting new plans for the beat in the not too distant future, and take a look around the accommodation that they have on offer a short distance away from the fishing.
Lastly we also travel to the River Tay Hatchery to meet with Tay Fishery Board Director, Dr David Summers, where we look at the expanding Kelt Reconditioning Program along with the associated funding initiatives that are currently running.
