Ezzrei is a Filipina DJ, producer, and cultural architect at the forefront of the country’s underground bass movement. Through her project Continuum Bass, she has built grassroots scenes across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, creating inclusive platforms for marginalized and left-field electronic artists. Her pioneering efforts have earned global recognition from Mixmag Asia, Midnight Rebels, and The Wire Magazine, where her debut jungle flip of Celeste Legaspi’s “Ang Daigdig Ko’y Ikaw” was featured. She has performed at the 2025 Malasimbo Festival and in venues across Asia, championing the Filipino bass sound on international stages.
Beyond the decks, Ezzrei is a respected music journalist and researcher. As the first Filipino contributor to Bandcamp Daily, her feature on the history of Filipino hardcore punk has become a widely cited cultural study, recognized by the Punk Scholars Network and integrated into global university curricula.
