How to upgrad an old iMac to 10x faster ? (A1418 21.5" 2017 Retina)

I never touch iMac before, but my eyes uncomfortable to use Macbook Pro recently. therefor I need a bigger screen. because I just need a spare desktop so, the brand new iMac M1/M2 24" will not be concideration. Finally, I bought an old iMac 21.5" 4K from a second-hand website.
I am really satisfied with the Retina display. but this iMac come with i5 CPU/8G RAM/1TB HDD and overall performance is too slow, so I plan to upgrade.
In my plan was to upgrade SATA-III HDD to NVME SDD, but this iMac has no NVME interface, so I had to upgrade to SATA-III SSD only. that's a little disappointing to me, but after upgrading the performance gott 11x-13x faster, which is really surprising, and the usability of the entire computer has been greatly improved.
Upgrade items:
CPU i5 upto i7 7700
RAM 8G DDR4 upto crucial 16G DDR x2
1TB HD upto Samsung EVO 870 1TB SSD
Result:
Overall performance upto 11x-13x of disk read-write speed. 👍👍👍
