Scott Parker, pictured, pleaded with officers to restrain police dog Jax after the German Shepherd pounced on him as he and two accomplices tried to flee from a stolen van in Stafford. Officers chased Parker, and accomplices Craig Mason and Gregory Simpson after they were spotted driving a stolen Vauxhall Vitaro van. A police helicopter and several squad cars gave chase until the gang dumped the van and tried to flee on foot. The gang were jailed for a total of 27 months at Stafford Crown Court.
