This week we have "Buster" Keaton's Final Installment of the "Young Married Couple" series of 2 reelers starring Buster and Sybil Seely. In this short we find the boat, Damifino (damn if I know) under construction in Buster's garage, and Buster's son (In an adorable child sized pork pie hat) simulating a storm with the stabilizing ropes. Our favorite living cartoon must then get the boat out of the garage, but the door is too small and hilarity ensues from there.
This is the first of the films I ran through an AI to enhance, upscale (1080x1440-2160x2880), Frame Interpolate (24-48fps) and colorize. Giving us a UHD(ish?) version of this film at 2160p48! :)
This is also the first film I completely put the soundtrack together for Using MIDIs created from the musical selections in Hawkes Photo Plays and other period songbooks. I don't play anything (Multiple sclerosis has left my hands weird) so these MIDIs where created with Playscore 2 reading the songbook PDFs. Unfortunately I was playing with the music so SFX didn't get done this week.
