Starfield finally looks like it has a real PlayStation 5 release date attached to it after years of speculation. According to multiple reports based on leaks from the French site Dealabs and its insider “Billbil-kun,” a PS5 version of Starfield is expected to launch on April 7, 2026.

On top of the release date rumor, there are also reports talking about significant updates and DLC planned for Starfield. Earlier rumors suggested Bethesda has shown people a substantial update and DLC coming in 2026 that could be meaningful for gameplay systems, and there have been hints of story content and broader gameplay changes.

While many fans have talked about a Starfield 2.0 or a massive revision to fix issues from the initial launch, Bethesda’s creative director Todd Howard has publicly said any next big update is meant to expand or enhance the game for people who already enjoy it, not to completely reinvent it.

Meanwhile, there’s been a fresh tease involving Fallout remasters that caught the community’s attention. Over the past few days Iron Galaxy Studios posted a message about a company meeting that included an image on their social feed featuring the classic Fallout: New Vegas “Please Stand By” screen. Iron Galaxy is known for porting and supporting games, including work on Skyrim for Switch, Fallout 4 VR, and contributions on Fallout 76, so seeing that image sparked speculation that they might be involved in a Fallout: New Vegas remaster.

So could the Iron Galaxy tease be “the real deal”? Right now it’s still speculation.
