In this episode of the Clinical Update podcast, we discuss how both the cervical cancer screening programme and the HPV vaccine have led to dramatic improvements in cervical cancer rates.
Also, our guest speaker Professor Mark Nelson explains how the HIV landscape has changed over the decades. He says that as life expectancy for people with HIV has vastly improved – thanks to effective treatments – the focus now needs to be on improving quality-of-life. However, he believes stigma is ‘one of the major contributors to spoiling quality-of-life’.
