Bhante Prof Lenegala Sirinivasa Thera (Sri Lanka) will explain that Buddhism posits the claim of an Infinite Universe both in terms of space and time. The Universe is also cyclical in nature involving phases of destruction and creation. The Satta Suriya Sutta (Seven Suns Discourse) is found in the Anguttara Nikaya (AN 7.62) and describes the eventual destruction of the world system through a sequence of seven suns appearing in the sky.
This Dhamma sharing was conducted on Friday, 26 July 2024 at the Puja Hall, Wisma Dharma Chakra, Buddhist Maha Vihara, Malaysia.
