Luzhi Ancient Town, hailed as "China's No.1 Water Town," boasts a history of over 2,500 years and ranks among Jiangnan's Six Great Ancient Towns. Located east of Suzhou, it is renowned for its abundant waterways, numerous bridges (36½ unique ancient bridges), ancient lanes, and well-preserved residences. Crisscrossed by a cobweb of canals, its cobblestone streets and Ming-Qing era buildings (including Baosheng Temple's famed clay sculptures) exude authentic charm. Offering a glimpse into traditional Jiangnan water town life and slow-paced lifestyle, it is also home to the Ye Shengtao Memorial Hall.
