STORYLINE
DSQUARED DOES 70'S RETRO IN MILAN
Design duo DSquared took a step back in time with their 70's-inspired collection which showed Thursday (25 September 2008) at Milan Fashion week.
The show kicked off with three models posing Angel-style before strutting their stuff in black sexy dresses, split to the thigh.
Metallic shoes, belts, bangles and trench coats lit up the runway as outfits ranged from barely-there swimsuits to floor-length gowns.
They sported retro hairdos, flowing locks and middle partings as they swept down the catwalk to funky tunes in belted suits, flared jeans, sunglasses and floppy hats.
DSquared designers Dean and Dan Catenacci are identical twin bothers. Their first flagship store opened in Milan in June 2007.
Their designs have won favour with the likes of Justin Timberlake, Ricky Martin, Nicholas Cage and Lenny Kravitz.
