1 cup yellow moong dal
1 cup semolina (suji)
1½ cups all-purpose flour (maida)
⅓ cup ghee or refined oil
½ tablespoon carom seeds (ajwain)
½ tablespoon turmeric powder
½ tablespoon roasted cumin powder (bhuna jeera powder)
½ tablespoon nigella seeds (kalonji)
½ tablespoon red chilli powder
½ tablespoon cumin seeds (jeera)
½ tablespoon chilli flakes
½ teaspoon asafoetida (hing)
½ tablespoon salt (to taste)
1 tablespoon dried fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi)
For Satta (Dough Coating)
2 tablespoons ghee
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour (maida)
