SWISS ALPS with kids – Bernese Oberland, Interlaken, Oeschinensee, Adelboden [Ep. 46]

Описание: The Bernese Oberland (the region South of Bern) is an incredibly beautiful area with mountains, lakes, villages, and a couple of large towns. We spent a week in the region with our friends from Germany.

We stayed in a little town called Frutigen which was full of old wooden buildings and small farms.

There were so many things to see nearby. We visited Cholerenschlucht which is a beautiful gorge with a metal walkway going directly through it. Oeschinensee was a stunning lake right in the mountains, with a mountain slide / mini bobsled track. Interlaken is between two lakes and is one of the more well-known towns in the area. Nearby was the castle of Tellenburg.

We also went to Blausee Naturpark. A beautiful small lake made by springs, surrounded by mountains, and constantly at 4deg. There were lots of trout and you could go on a glass bottom boat on the lake.

Further along the valley from Frutigen is the area of Adelboden. This is a very popular skiing area and in summertime becomes a massive hiking area, with gondolas to take you up many of the mountains. We went to the top of Sillerenbühl and then hiked back down. There was an adventure trail for the kids to do on the way. It was an absolutely stunning area completely surrounded by mountain peaks.

On the way South to Italy we went over the Susten and Gotthard Passes which were absolutely beautiful.
