(16 Feb 2019) Ivanka Trump appeared at a town hall meeting on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference on Saturday.
The meeting focused on harnessing the power of women for global stability, and Ivanka said this had always been a key part of the US national security strategy.
President Donald Trump recently launched the Women's Global Development and Prosperity Initiative, a government-wide project led by his daughter.
It aims to coordinate current programmes and develop new ones to assist women in areas such as job training, financial support, and legal or regulatory reforms.
Ivanka, who acts as a senior advisor to her father, is attending the Munich conference to promote the initiative.
At the town hall meeting, she also said her father's expression, "America first", did not mean "America alone", adding the US was proud of its role as "the world's most generous donor".
