Hey guys! Here is a lil teaser about my custom MTD bass before I'll make a full in-depth review.
I was waiting for these babe for year+ and I'm super happy! Huge thanks to Mike and Dan Tobias!
Here i'm playing on a pretty dead strings and the intonation is out, sorry.
So it's a very new headless model and the bass is marked #2 - it's the second 6 string headless from the start! Almost every detail was planned by me and guys just made my dreams come true.
It's swamp ash body with amazing myrtle burl top, green to blue Nebula burst (green bass - my ooooold dream!); 24frets 35'' scale wenge neck (asymmetrical profile) and wenge board; Bartolini P462j Classic series quadcoils in Super position (2 bridge pups) with 3-way switch for each pickup (series, singlecoil, parallel), Bartolini 3-band preamp (volume with active/passive push-pull, blend, bass'n'treble stacked, push-pull mids, passive tone); Hipshot headless system.
The bass is pretty lightweight with perfect ergonomics. The sound is very punchy, full of mids, very bright and growly, lows are full and focused.
