Описание: In September 2024, the gigantic Johan Castberg floating production, storage, and offloading vessel (FPSO) was anchored at the field in the Barents Sea, off the Norwegian coast. The field is 240 kilometres from Hammerfest, where the helicopter and supply bases are located. The FPSO is 313 metres long (including the helicopter deck) and 55 metres wide – the size of three football fields. It can store 1.1 million barrels of oil and produce 220 000 barrels per day at peak. The field will be operated from Harstad, and so far, we have made five new discoveries nearby, which are being matured towards possible tie-ins to Johan Castberg. The project was approved by the Norwegian government in 2018 and is expected to come on stream in late 2024. In this film, we are showing you some of the highlights from the project over the last six years.
