What Lies Beneath: I Visited One Of Derbyshires Mysterious Caverns

Описание: Deep beneath the quiet hills of Castleton lies a secret millions of years in the making — a breathtaking crystal you can’t find anywhere else on Earth: Blue John.
We head deep underground into the original mine tunnels, and even see the lost vein that was hidden for decades. It’s cold, muddy, and a bit of a climb, but completely worth it.

I also take a walk through Castleton village, check out the local shops, and enjoy some of the stunning views from above ground too. If you’ve never heard of Blue John, or just want to see one of the most interesting spots in the Peak District, this one’s for you.
