Описание: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has introduced the Taxation and Other Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2026, in the Lok Sabha, proposing a fresh set of investment-friendly tax reforms.

One of the biggest changes is aimed at offshore investment funds managed from India. The bill proposes relaxing several eligibility conditions, making it easier for such funds to receive tax exemptions on their global income.

The proposed reforms are intended to attract more foreign capital, encourage international funds to operate from India and help position the country as a major global fund-management hub.
