How Consciousness Works

Описание: Understanding how consciousness works is very important when building AI systems. Intelligence and consciousness are two different things which are typically related in a linear fashion within biological life, but artificial systems do not tend to follow this relationship.

I am working to build neuromorphic hardware based neural networks that will have a much higher level of consciousness than digital systems, LLMs, and AI systems that are run on digital computers.

Several thought experiments are discussed to understand the possibility of creating non-biological human consciousness. Many types of biological life and artificial systems are placed on an intelligence vs consciousness plot. How consciousness works is also discussed in detail.
