This video showcases bp's investment into 4 major proposed projects positioning Teesside at the front of the clean energy future. Net Zero Teesside Power is planned to be a flexible, 860MW gas-fired power station providing electricity for 1.3 million homes when wind and solar aren't available. H2 Teesside is a proposed 'blue' hydrogen facility which could capture and store carbon emissions to produce 1.2GW of low carbon hydrogen for local industries. HyGreen plans to generate 'green' hydrogen from water electrolysis, with zero carbon emissions. The Northern Endurance Partnership aims to deliver the infrastructure to transport and store captured carbon offshore, initially from Teesside but expanding to decarbonize industries across the east coast.
