Synopsis:

In this delightful tale, The Tramp (Charlie Chaplin), while walking with his bulldog, finds a "lucky" horseshoe that leads him to a boxing training camp looking for a partner who "can take a beating." After watching others fail, Charlie, with the horseshoe hidden in his glove, wins his match.
His trainer prepares him for a showdown with the world champion. Meanwhile, a gambler attempts to convince Charlie to throw the fight, while Charlie falls in love with the trainer's daughter.
With support from his coach, and after undergoing retraining, Charlie goes on to defeat the champion, emerging as the new champion.
