From March 2026, several important financial and regulatory changes are affecting every Indian citizen. In this video, we explain 7 major updates including RBI’s March 31 banking instruction, Income Tax revised return deadline, new 1600 number series rule for stock brokers to prevent fraud calls, FASTag KYV removal update, new FASTag sub-wallet system, RailOne app replacing UTS for railway ticket booking, SIM binding rule for WhatsApp and messaging apps, and LPG commercial cylinder price hike.

As per the guidelines from the Reserve Bank of India, banks must remain operational on March 31 due to financial year closing. The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India has introduced the 1600 number series for verified stock broker calls to reduce scams. The National Highways Authority of India has discontinued mandatory KYV for FASTag unless complaints arise.

Indian Railways has replaced the UTS on Mobile app with the new RailOne app for all ticket bookings and services. SIM binding rules are now mandatory for WhatsApp and other messaging apps to prevent cyber fraud.
