In this video I take the Canon R8 for a spin and check to see if the claimed 40 FPS electronic shutter claims live up to expectations. I use it in three different real-world scenarios. I photograph a vehicle making its way across a causeway on a stormy day. Next, I use the R8 to capture students walking past a brutalist light fixture on a very cold day. Lastly, I use the Canon R8 to capture a basketball game. Does the Canon R8 really do 40 frames per second and are the photos any good! Let's check it out!
