Trump revealed he is in “serious discussions” with Russian President Vladimir Putin on ending the war and major economic deals. Putin confirmed US and Russian companies are “in touch” over potential projects, including rare earth minerals.
Trump is expected to meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky soon to finalise a minerals agreement. Meanwhile, the US backed a UN resolution on Ukraine that avoided blaming Russia, with Moscow calling it a “starting point” for peace talks.
