Considered by many to be the top cultural event in West Louisville, this outdoor basketball tournament has been a tradition in the Shawnee neighborhood for more than 40 years. Founded during a time of political strife, The Dirt Bowl was created as a way for neighbors to reconnect with one another through history, tradition, and basketball.
