We waited a long time for this moment.
My nephew Kobe finally arrived in California, and this was the first time he met his cousins, Kuy and Gabe. On my side of the family, they’re the only first cousins, so seeing them together for the first time was something really special for all of us.
We first gathered in Fremont with my cousin Zhette, her husband Rod, and their kids, Bri and Max. Having everyone together made the welcome even more meaningful. From the airport pickup at SFO to sharing pizza and catching up, it felt like the kind of family time you don’t take for granted.
Kobe recently graduated with a degree in Fine Arts and is now exploring the world, and we’re grateful that one of his stops brought him here. This video captures the start of his California visit — the hugs, the smiles, and the beginning of new memories together.
