Armen-Levon Manaseryan was born in Yerevan into a family of musicians. His musical talent was evident from an early age. At six years of age he was accepted into Professor Shushanik Babayan’s piano class at the specialized music school named after Tchaikovsky.

Armen-Levon continued his studies in Piano Performance at Komitas State Conservatory in Armenia and graduated with Bachelor and Master with highest honors under professor Sergei Sarajev. He continued his education at Royal Conservatory of Liège in Belgium with Professors, pianist and conductor Etienne Rappe and François Thiry.

Armen-Levon has won medals and awards in numerous national and international competitions including: First Prize and Memorial Medal at the International Competition «FLAME» (Paris, France,2006); First Prize and Trophy the 9th «Concourse International de Piano Nice Côte d’Azur» (Nice, France 2016); First Prize, Trophy and Special Award – the CD recording with “KNS Classics Studio” in the 5th «Valletta International PIANO Competition 2017» (Valletta, Malta 2017); Second Prize (there was no 1st prize) and the «Komitas» Medal in the 5th «Komitas-Festival» International Piano Competition (Prötzel, Berlin, Germany 2017), Prize-winner (PREISTRÄGER) and three special prizes “Hoffnungs-Preis” Münichen, “Bladowski-Preis” Baldham, Juri-Grachew-Preis “New York at the 12th International Competition of pianists «MÜNCHNER KLAVIERPODIUM DER JUGEND» in Germany (Munich, Germany 2012); Bronze Medal and III place at the VII Delphic Games of the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) and the CIS countries in Kazakhstan (Astana, Kazakhtan 2012), Third place in the 33rd International Piano Competition «Andree Charlier» (Charleroi, Belgium 2015) and the 13th International Piano Competition of young performers «Les Rencontres Internationales des Jeunes Pianistes», organized by EPTA – BEGIUM (Belgium 2016); as well as many other competitions inside and outside of Armenia.

Armen-Levon has been invited to the prestigious International Master classes and festivals at the Mozarteum International Summer Academy in Salzburg (Austria); the Palazzo Ricci – Europäische Akademie für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Montepulciano (Italy); the Night of Museums (Belgium), International Master- Classes in Kassel (Germany); International Piano Master classes of Heribert Koch (Germany); Bonner «Schumannfest» (Germany), International Festival of Young Pianists (Portugal), «150 jaar Schouwburg» (Belgium).

He has left an outstanding impression on the following pianists: Michel Béroff , Frederick Rzewski, Balázs Szokolay, Yoko Nanno, Irina Osipova, Ivan Urvalov, Chuel-Woo Bae, Michele Gioiosa, Kirill Kashunin, Djuro Tikvica, Françoise Chaffiaud, Yury Martynov, Marisse Huizing, Alexander Khazanov and Sergey Glavatskih.

Professor Heribert Koch (Germany) and Joseph Paratore (Italy/USA) have had a big influence on his development and establishment as a young pianist.

As accompanist and chamber musician, he has had a series of concerts in different combinations such as playing with State Woodwind Symphony Orchestra in Armenia’s Philharmonic Hall and the National Theater of Opera and Ballet.

He was a Jury Member of «Merci, Maestro!» International Competition for Young Pianists in Brussels as well as the Member of the «Alink- Argerich Foundation» Piano Competition Worldwide.

He is the founder and artistic director of the «VITRAGE» International Festival of Music and Art in Brussels, via which he has performed as well as organized numerous solo recitals, chamber concerts, and performances. He has also invited guest artists from various countries to perform at the festival.

Armen-Levon has given many solo recitals, participated in festivals, performed as a solo pianist as well as a chamber musician in Armenia, the Russian Federation, France, Germany, Kazakhstan, Austria, Belgium, Italy, Poland, Malta, Portugal and other countries. His musical repertoire always features music representative of his Armenian roots, which he proudly plays in various concert halls in Europe, as a soloist as well as a chamber musician. For example, he created a duet with Armenian saxophonist Harutyun Harutyunyan, called «Pianoxas»
