Описание: Kanawha Valley Fellowship Home in Charleston, West Virginia marks the start of an expansion that will add new sober living apartments as the next step in its recovery housing program. The organization purchased the building next to its mission house at 1123 Virginia Street and plans to convert the cleared-out second floor into 11 studio-style apartments, supporting a 12-bed goal for this phase. The housing is designed for men who have completed about six months in the program and need another six to nine months of structured support. The project draws broad community backing despite winter weather, including support from local leadership and funding that includes nearly $300,000 from the Kanawha County Commission plus support from the City of Charleston and other partners. John Jarrett, founder of Jarrett Construction Services, leads construction management for the work and outlines a timeline of starting in about 90 days and finishing within five to six months after the start. Dick Daugherty, executive director of KVFH, frames the expansion as a response to demand and a way to extend stability for men in recovery.
