Dissidia 012: Duodecim - Gilgamesh vs. 000 Feral Chaos

Well...I never claimed to be that good with Gilgamesh, but since someone keeps asking me for it, here it is.

Yeah, the Genji equipment isn't really the best for this fight, but he's Gilgamesh! He has to dress the part!

I made a lot of mistakes in this fight. I got pretty sloppy towards the end, I missed the second brave freeze chance, I'm terrible at using his EX burst, and I haven't really practiced enough with Gilgamesh to do anything fancy like reliably combo with Electrocute (still don't have a good sense of what height is best for it). I'm sure Jump could have been good, but I just didn't have the time to test it out, so I stuck with mostly Hurricane, Rocket Punch, and Swords Dance. Speaking of which, Hurricane is really good for this fight. Feral Chaos usually can't react to it fast enough (it has faster startup than Goblin Punch!). The only thing that kept me from wanting to spam it was that it didn't wall rush. But it is Gilgamesh's best way to deal HP damage in this fight without resorting to assists.

I wasn't aiming for anything remotely resembling a perfect run, especially since losing HP means powering up the Chicken Knife. I'm really more upset about screwing up the EX burst and squandering my second EX mode to Lux Magnus.

It would have been awesome if I could have ended with an EX burst for Excalipoor, but it's challenging and risky to keep a full EX bar against Feral Chaos, as he will fully drain your EX with any HP attack. So I ended with the next best thing. Yeah, it didn't really matter at that point, but I still thought it was kind of cool.

Anyway, I think I'll do a few more of these. The next character that someone requested is...Laguna, I believe? Well, first I'm going to have to level him up to 100, and teach myself how to actually use him...
