Instead of picking up something from a store shelf, the goal was to create a strong frame that had weight, durability, and a presence worthy of such an achievement.

The frame was fabricated from 1 inch (25.4 mm) square tubing with a 1/8 inch (3.2 mm) wall. That choice gave it a satisfying heft of about 10 pounds (4.5 kg), so lifting it feels meaningful.

Thin tubing would have warped or burned during welding, but the thicker material kept everything square and stable. Small cut tabs ensured the corners held firmly, while offset tabs on the back allowed it to hang flush on the wall. Even little details like that separate a custom build from a generic one.

CNCROi.com cut angle iron with a manual plasma cutter, cleaned everything with grinders, and chose flux core welding for speed and control. Safety was always in mind, from using gloves during cutting to carefully avoiding them near sanding belts. The diploma itself became the measuring guide, proving that sometimes the simplest method is also the smartest.

Instead of fragile glass, 0.06 inch (1.5 mm) PETG plastic was used on the front, with MDF on the back to hold everything secure. A matte paint finish looked uninspiring, so the entire surface was sandblasted for a textured, professional appearance.
