Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a crucial visit to Gujarat, where he will inaugurate Micron Technology’s new Semiconductor Assembly, Test and Packaging (ATMP) facility in Sanand. The project, worth over ₹22,500 crore, marks a historic milestone in India’s semiconductor manufacturing journey. Approved under the India Semiconductor Mission, this is the first major semiconductor proposal to receive clearance. With the launch of commercial production of “Made in India” semiconductor memory modules, India is set to strengthen its position in the global semiconductor value chain.

प्रधानमंत्री Narendra Modi आज गुजरात के दौरे पर हैं, जहां वे Micron Technology की सेमीकंडक्टर असेंबली, टेस्ट और पैकेजिंग (ATMP) फैसिलिटी का उद्घाटन करेंगे। 22,500 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक की लागत से तैयार यह प्रोजेक्ट भारत की सेमीकंडक्टर मैन्युफैक्चरिंग यात्रा में एक ऐतिहासिक मील का पत्थर माना जा रहा है। यह परियोजना India Semiconductor Mission के तहत मंजूर पहला प्रस्ताव है। इस फैसिलिटी से पहली बार ‘मेड इन इंडिया’ सेमीकंडक्टर मेमोरी मॉड्यूल का व्यावसायिक उत्पादन और शिपमेंट शुरू होगा, जिससे वैश्विक सेमीकंडक्टर वैल्यू चेन में भारत की स्थिति मजबूत होगी।
