The defunct Uganda Cooperative Bank could become the latest collapsed public entity to be revived by the government. The Ministry of trade, industry and Cooperatives is awaiting cabinet approval before the process of revitalising the bank can proceed. Members of the Committee of parliament on Trade, tourism and Industry were however told that the bank shall not be registered under its previous name.
